They've Only Just Begun: The Prospector Theater is a Force for Good

Blast from the (not too distant past): 2014 Huffington Post article spotlighting The Prospector Theater "People with Disabilities Have A Hard Time Finding Jobs And This Company is Doing Something About It". Fast-forward three years: The Prospector has blossomed and so have the employees known as "The Prospects".

Audiences are treated to an exceptional movie-going experience while enjoying gourmet popcorn (created in-house by The Prospects), snacks, and even cocktails! Full time Prospect coaches support the employees through the Theater's training program - this allows the Prospects to turn their abilities and passions into professions (even outside of the Theater!)

Sparkle on Valerie and staff!

Here, Prospector Theater founder and visionary, Valerie Jensen reacts to the Huffington Post article on The Prospector Facebook Page:

"We have worked so hard and keep raising the bar. Speaking of ‘The bar' 12 Prospects passed a 5 hour TIPS® Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is a dynamic, skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental "people skills" of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol."

TIPS gives individuals the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and intervene to prevent alcohol-related tragedies.

Visit the theater at 25 Prospect Street in Ridgefield! Click here for movie times.
