Spring Photo Shoots at Henny Penny Farm in Ridgefield

While spring is typically a distant thought for most people during this time of year, at Henny Penny Farm February is when the 2017 lambs from their show winning flock of Romney sheep begin to be born.  Then the goats are born followed by the rabbits and the arrival of chicks.  It is such an exciting and beautiful time on the farm that when the opportunity to invite the accomplished photographer Janette James arose, farmer Whitney Freeman just couldn't miss out.  Together they will facilitate mini photo shoots that capture the joy and wonder when children meet a baby animal for the first time.

Janette James, principal photographer of Tall Angel Photography, is a nationally exhibited fine art photographer and was voted one of the Top Rated child, baby and family photographers in NYC. James will be offering mini photo shoots at the historic farm in Ridgebury on March 25, 26 and April 2.  Participants have the unique opportunity of visiting the farm while the animals are very small, before the general public can visit during the baby animal farm tours later in the spring.

The photo packages will include 4 jpegs and one print by the artist. A limited number of spots are available and may be booked by phone at 347-306-1549 or by email info@hennypennyfarmct.com

Visitors will experience the quieter, more personal side of the farm's residents. "Every animal on this farm must have a job", says Freeman, "but it doesn't mean that they can't be exceptionally personable and beautiful as well!"
