Seven sweet years ago, today, The Cake Box opened its doors in Ridgefield, occupying a small storefront shop in the Marketplace at Copps Hill.
Bursting at the seams, about two years after opening, owners Jordan Gregory and Robert Byrnes expanded, moving The Cake Box to Big Shoppe Lane. Swoon, home to gluten-free cupcakes took over the Cake Box space, filling a community need for high quality sweets with dietary restrictions in mind.
Both The Cake Box and Swoon have become go-to places for special celebrations, or just an afternoon pick-me-up. Byrnes and Gregory are tireless community advocates who donate to many local nonprofits, sweetening events, fundraising auctions, and the like.
Congratulations on this special anniversary! We are the lucky ones!
