The Aldrich to host Community Day with artist Tony Matelli on Sunday, May 21

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is pleased to announce a Community Day with artist Tony Matelli. The free event will take place on Sunday, May 21, from 1 to 4 pm.

Celebrate Tony Matelli’s Hera, a new work commissioned by The Aldrich as part of its Main Street Sculpture series that will be installed on the Museum’s front lawn on May 6. Matelli will be on site to speak about his larger-than-lifesize outdoor figurative sculpture of the Greek goddess Hera. The entire Aldrich campus will be buzzing!

Sing and dance to live acoustic classics by local favorite The Blue Yodels; don’t miss the pickling workshop led by Jane Costello of Westport-based Jane’s Good Food; and get creative with Matelliinspired hands-on art projects for the entire family.

Light fare and libations will be served.
