Wilton Loop extension of Norwalk River Valley Trail is underway

Timber & Stone has started construction of the 2,000-foot extension of the Wilton Loop.

Pat Sesto, President of the Friends of the NRVT, said, “With the strong support of the Wilton community, we’re excited about extending the Loop beyond the recently completed boardwalk to Twin Oak Lane.”

Timber & Stone, the trail builder for the entirety of the Wilton Loop, anticipates being finished with the latest extension in December.

When the extension is completed, the east side of the Wilton Loop will run over two miles from the trailhead at Rt. 7 and Wolfpit Road, to just short of Skunk Lane.

The vision of the NRVT is a 38-mile multi-use trail running from Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, through Wilton, Ridgefield, and Redding, terminating at Rogers Park in Danbury.
