Bethel's Justamere Pony Farm relocates to Ridgefield

Providing A-Show Level Training at Affordable Prices to Fairfield County and Westchester County’s Residents 

Ryan Petronelli, owner of Justamere Pony Farm in Bethel, Conn., is proud to announce the relocation of operations, lessons and activities to its new location at in Ridgefield, located at 258 North Street, Ridgefield, Conn.

Petronelli is a third generation horseman specializing in boarding, training, sales, and imports, with four years of experience as a VetTec and three years of equine services study at Johnson & Wales.

“We are so excited to bring the expertise of the Justamere Pony Farm team to the Ridgefield community through our move. As a small equine facility, we are able to provide a personalized, intimate experience for riders to get to know, and learn on, their equine partners,” Petronelli said. “We will be serving hunters, jumpers and equitation riders, ranging from beginners to amateurs at this new facility.”

Formerly known as Ridgefield Equestrian, Justamere’s new facility, which is almost 20 acres, is less than a mile from the center of town and features 26 stalls, a 100x200 foot outdoor ring featuring fiber mix footing, a large indoor ring with dust free footing and an attached heated viewing room, new paddocks and onsite-living staff.

“We will continue our lessons program with school horses and ponies, as well as offer three levels of boarding options. We provide top level show training at affordable prices,” Petronelli said. “We will be accepting clients Friday, Dec. 1 to this new, exciting location.”

Petronelli, who has trained with Emerson Burr, Mindy Minetto, Gary Duffy and Nea Petronelli, has run the Bethel facility for 12 years with the assistance of Barn Manager and wife of 10 years Helen Petronelli.

Justamere Pony Farm will continue limited operations for its Bethel location, utilizing the 10-plus acre farm as a retirement facility. Petronelli is accepting layup, retirement and dry stall applications for the 20 professional-care stalls available.

At home, private and group lessons will continue at the Ridgefield location under the guidance of assistant trainer Taylor Franchi. Franchi earned a biochemistry degree from Boston University, worked at Holly Hill Show Stables and has spent the last four years at Justamere Pony Farm. Their daughter, Leah, rides as well, competing over cross rails.

Justamere Pony Farm specializes in hunters, jumpers and equitation horses, and offers safe, sound and sane horses for sale or lease.
