Police Blotter: Narcotics Arrest

Narcotics Arrest 4/1/14

At approximately 8:45 pm on April 1st a Detective with the Ridgefield Police observed individuals acting suspiciously n the parking lot of a Danbury Rd business. The Detective set up surveillance in the area and observed a drug transaction take place. Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 69 packets of heroin and approximately 45 grams of cocaine. Prescription pills were also found. A knife was also located in the vehicle which was in violation of the Connecticut General Statutes. Three individuals were arrested and charged. A 30 year old Waterbury male was charged with Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, possession of a Controlled Substance, and Weapons in a Motor Vehicle. Bond was set at $50,000. A 27 year old Westport male was charged with Possession of Narcotics. Bond was set at $500.00 A 23 year old Westport woman was charged with Possession of Narcotics, Bond was set at $500.00

Suspended Registration 4/6/14

A 60 year old Ridgefield man was pulled over on Danbury Road for a suspended vehicle registration. The operator was issued a Misdemeanor Summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. He was released on scene and given a court date of April 24, 2014 at Danbury Superior Court.

Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia 4/1/2014

On April 1st at approximately 4:30 pm police stopped a 26 year old Brookfield man for a cell phone violation. Investigation revealed he had 36 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. He was placed under arrest and processed and released from the Ridgefield Police Department
