For the second year, the Ridgefield Police Department and Dimitri's Diner will team-up&nbsp;to raise funds for Special Olympics of Connecticut.
On Thursdays, April 24,&nbsp;and May 1, Ridgefield police officers will help at&nbsp;Dimitri's during lunch and dinner service as part of their Tip-a-Cop fund-raiser.&nbsp; All tips received during these shifts will be donated to CT Special Olympics.
Additionally, Dimitri's will contribute 10% of its sales that day to the Special Olympics.

On Thursday, April 17 and 24, and Thursday, May 1, Ridgefield police officers will be assisting professional servers at Dimitri’s during lunch and dinner shift as part of the Tip-a-Cop fund-raiser for the Connecticut Special Olympics.
 
It’s the second time the department and the diner have joined forces for the cause.
 
“Officers are excited about this endeavor and look forward to future events with the Connecticut Special Olympics,” said Maj. Stephen Brown. “Our officers are committed to supporting Connecticut Special Olympics.
 
In addition to the tips, Dimitri’s will contribute 10% of its sales that day to the Special Olympics.
 
“We are grateful to Dimitri’s Diner for the generous support,” Maj. Brown added.
 
The department will also be participating in the Law Enforcement Torch run on June 6 in town.
