U.S. Senator Christopher Murphy will attend the 5th Annual Ridgefield Chili Festival on Sunday, April 26, at the Ridgefield Community Center, which will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., will feature chili from five local restaurants and 11 local residents. The number of participants and the variety of chilies are largest in festival’s five-year history, Chili Festival Coordinator Alex Harris said.
The restaurants competing include 850 Degrees Wood Fired Restaurant, The Ancient Mariner, Bernard's Restaurant & Sarah's Wine Bar, Little Pub, and Southwest Café. The Cake Box will provide the dessert.
General admission tickets are $25 for those 16 years and older. A family pack will admit up to four children (ages 7 to 15 years old) for $10, when accompanied by a parent or guardian with a general admission ticket. Children under six years old are free. The event is a fundraiser for the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee (DTC). Tickets may be purchased online at ridgefielddems.org, in advance from any DTC member, or at the door.
The Ridgefield Community Center/Lounsbury House is located at 316 Main Street, Ridgefield.
