For the 37th year, the Connecticut Republican Party will host the Prescott Bush Awards Dinner on June 4 at the Crowne Plaza in Stamford. The GOP will award Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton with their most prestigious "Prescott Bush Award". The event's Keynote Speaker is Senator Marco Rubio.
Mayor Mark, born and raised in Danbury, is serving his sixth term in office. As Mayor, he has made it his mission to create a "top-notch" educational system, revitalize City Center, and improve upon quality of life and residents' access to government.
The Mayor has taken to social media to connect with city residents, government officials and business owners. He has won the hearts of the young and old with his active and candidly humorous Twitter feed (@MayorMark) and to date has a whopping 19.7K followers.
