Founder of The Prospector Theater heads to The White House

White House to Host Convening on Americans with Disabilities and the Arts: A Celebration of Diversity and Inclusion

On Wednesday, November 18, the White House will host a convening on Americans with disabilities and the arts, a celebration of diversity and inclusion. This event, part of the 25th anniversary year of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the 40th anniversary year of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), will highlight opportunities and innovative practices for Americans with disabilities to be employed in and participate in the arts. 

Ridgefield resident and founder of The Prospector Theater, Valerie Jensen will be present during this special event  to discuss Disability Employment and Inclusion in the Arts and Entertainment Industry with White House staff and special guests.

The Prospector Theater, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, provides meaningful employment to people with disabilities through the operation of a premium, first-run movie theater located in the heart of historic downtown Ridgefield, Connecticut.
