Ridgefielders Speak Out Regarding Connecticut's Stance on Syrian Refugees

On the heels of the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris, Governor Dannel Malloy said yesterday during a press conference that Connecticut would continue to welcome Syrian refugees.

“I would feel safe in bringing in refugees. America is a land that has been opened to people in political conflicts for a long time,” said Malloy, who commended the vetting and security process in America calling it “rigorous”. “I think there is a lot of hysteria,” he added.

Malloy’s statements and stance regarding Syrian refugees has caused outrage as well as praise among many Connecticut residents.

The Ridgefield Facebook Page is buzzing with locals who share strong opinions, both for and against allowing Syrian refugees to enter our state.

I urge all my fellow Ridgefielder's to call Governor Malloy and oppose his plan to allow Syrian refugees into our state.

I've heard some say "our security comes first". Of course it does! But who do you think you are to separate us from any other race! We are all humans in our plainest form. Their security, will give at least me security.

I am torn on this, while I want to offer safety to the women and children, I fear the radicals. If only one such person arrives and does harm to us, I will never be able to justify, in my mind and heart, the wiseness of that decision.

Love does Fail in the face of Evil. That's why God (love) has an army of Angels (militray option) to deal with Satan (Evil.)

The point isn't to exclude refugees from entering the US, it's to postpone it until the proper legislation is in place to make sure it occurs safely.
