Republican Trump took Connecticut in last night's Presidential Primary with 122,519 votes. Kasich was second with 60,447 votes and Cruz was third with 24,779. On the Democratic side, the race was much tighter in Connecticut with 169,763 votes for Clinton (51.7%) and 152,895 for Sanders (27%).
5210 Ridgefield residents voted at four polling places in the Presidential Primary yesterday. And the results, at least on the Democratic side, were a testament to the saying every vote counts!
For the Democrats, Clinton won over Sanders with 59% of the vote, 1566 to 1039. You can view Democratic results by town on CNN here.
On the Republican side, Trump received 51% of the vote with 1360 votes, Kasich was second with 962 votes, and Cruz, at 11% received 283 votes. You can view Republican results by town on CNN here.
