Joanne Meder Resigns as Ridgefield Town Planner

Ridgefield Town Planner, Joanne P. Meder, who took over after the retirement of Betty Brosius less than a year ago, has resigned.

“We have an experienced staff and commission who were here during the transition from Betty Brosius to Joanne Meder, and are working together to ensure a smooth transition to the next planner,” says Rebecca Mucchetti, chairman of Ridgefield Planning & Zoning Commission.

Both First Selectman Rudy Marconi and Mucchetti say that applications will be continue to be received and reviewed as before.

Residents should take note of the revised P&Z meeting schedule. Mucchetti says, “Prior to Joanne's resignation, we did revise our meeting schedule for the remainder of 2017 to meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month - instead of every Tuesday - and have revised our application submission deadline to 4 pm on the Friday before a meeting, instead of 4 pm on the Monday before.”

The meeting schedule was effective February 21, and the application submission deadline is effective immediately.
