Proposal for Self Storage & Apartments on Old Quarry Road Heads to Public Hearing Tonight

Tonight, Tuesday, April 4, The Ridgefield Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to begin reviewing a proposal for a climate-controlled self-storage business with apartments on Old Quarry Road.

Both garage bays and smaller storage rooms will be available in the first level of the building.

The “workforce” apartments on the second level will have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  This configuration will be an easy share for roommates.

Old Quarry Road, LLC, has also received permission to add solar panels to the project under a state program.  The panels will produce 35 kilowatts of electricity reducing carbon dioxide equivalent to what 26 acres of mature forest would absorb.  The will be installed behind the roof mansards.

The Public Hearing will begin at 7:30 pm in the Town Hall Annex, 66 Prospect Street, Lower Level Meeting Room.
