Ridgefield Police Reports: Youth Party, Drugs, MVA

July 22- Ridgefield Police responded to a noise complaint at 41 Midrocks Rd. Upon investigation it was revealed that there was a party with underage drinking taking place. A Ridgefield man claimed responsibility for the gathering and was charged with permitting alcohol to minors. He was released on scene and given a court date.

July 22-A Ridgefield man was pulled over for failing to give the right of way to a pedestrian on Main St. It was revealed to the officer upon investigation that the operator was driving with a suspended license. He was given a misdemeanor summons and a court date.

July 23- Officers responded to a 3 car motor vehicle accident on High Ridge Ave. Two of the operators were looked at by the Ridgefield Fire Department for injuries, no one had to be taken to the hospital. One of the operators, it was revealed, was driving without a license. The Ridgefield man was given a misdemeanor summons and court date.

July 24- Officers responded to a two car motor vehicle accident on Danbury Rd. Both drivers were taken to Danbury Hospital with injuries. Operator #2 was charged with driving without a license and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

July 24- Two Ridgefield Police Detectives were conducting a security check of the ball fields off of Shadow Lake Rd. While investigating police observed three youths sitting at a picnic bench, one was in possession of less than a 1/2 ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The Ridgefield youth was issued an infraction.

July 24- A silver Mercedes had been observed swerving in and out of the yellow lines on multiple streets in Ridgefield. Ridgefield Police responded and pulled the car over on Chestnut Hill Rd. Upon investigation it was revealed that the operator was under the influence of marijuana and Xanax pills that were not in the original container. The operator was charged with a D.U.I. and being found in possession of narcotics.

July 25- Ridgefield Police responded to a 911 call, the caller was driving behind someone who had been driving erratically. Police officers pulled the car over on West Lane. It was discovered that the operator of the car was in fact intoxicated. The operator was taken in, processed, and given a court date.

July 26- Ridgefield Police pulled over a car on Route 7 when the operator did not stop at a red light. Once the car was pulled over it was revealed to officers that the operator was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The Ridgefield man was given an infraction.
