Ridgefield Police Make Arrests in Residential Burglary

Burglary

On 08/18/2014 at approximately 20:51 hours, Ridgefield Police officers were dispatched to a burglar alarm at a residence on Chestnut Hill Rd. As the first officer approached the location, he observed two males on foot entering Chestnut Hill Rd.  The officer stopped his vehicle in order to speak with the individuals. One individual fled from the officer on a skateboard and was located at his residence a short time later. It was determined that a window at the residence has been broken and entry was made.

Ridgefield Police are still investigating to determine what, if anything, was taken from the residence. Connecticut State Police K-9 units from Southbury were called to assist at the scene. Both individuals were arrested on Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 3rd and Interfering with the duties of a Police Officer, and held on $25,000 bond. They are both scheduled to be arraigned at Danbury Superior Court on 08/19/2014.
