Danbury Public Works is hosting a Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, September 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. DPW is located at 53A Newtown Road, Danbury.
All households have hazardous waste and electronic devices and local one-day collection programs offer citizens an opportunity to manage these wastes in an environmentally safe manner.
Some examples of what you CAN bring to Hazardous Waste Collection Day include:

<li>Motor oil, oil filters, brake fluid</li>
<li>Used antifreeze</li>
<li>Paint, paint thinner, turpentine</li>
<li>Cleaners with acid or lye</li>
<li>Pesticides or herbicides</li>
<li>Household batteries or car batteries</li>
<li>Pool chemicals</li>
<li>Old TVs and other electronics</li>
<li>Mercury thermometers or thermostats</li>
</ul>
