Ridgefield Police Reports: Youth Party, MVA, Suspended License

August 29- During speed enforcement Ridgefield Police pulled over a man from New Milford who was traveling fast on Ridgebury Road. Upon making the traffic stop it was discovered that the operator was driving with a suspended license. He was charge with speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. The driver was also given a written promise to appear in court for the offense.

August 29- A man from South Salem was pulled over by Ridgefield Police for speeding on North Salem Road. Upon further investigation it was revealed to the officer that the operator was driving with a suspended license. He was then issued a misdemeanor summons for the offenses.

September 12- Stamford Police stopped a man from South Salem for a Motor Vehicle Violation. The man had a warrant out for his arrest in Ridgefield. The Ridgefield PD was contacted and the man was taken into custody for Larceny 6th Disobeying Signal of an Officer and Reckless Operation. Once in Ridgefield the man was issued a court date.

September 12- Ridgefield Police were dispatched to Ledges Road on the report of a Youth Party. Investigation confirmed that there was a Youth Party in progress. Youths were found in possession of alcohol and marijuana. A juvenile was charged with allowing minors to be in possession of alcohol and was referred to the Youth Officer. An attendee at the party was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

September 12- Ridgefield Police responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on South Salem Road where the driver had veered off the road and hit a tree and then a rock. The operator sustained minor injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital. The operator was given a written warning for failure to stay in the lane.
