Sheryl Renne, MSW, LCSW, Regional Hospice and Home Care social worker and facilitator of the Survivors of Suicide Loss support group held at the Healing Hearts Center for Grief and Loss, appeared on the show along with Cheryl Koeber, LCSW, ACHP-SW, OSW-C, Regional Hospice and Home Care’s Director of Counseling Services.

“Survivors of suicide loss share a unique, intense bereavement,” said Renne, who has facilitated the suicide survivor support group since its creation nearly five years ago. “People are left grappling with the why.”

In 2011, someone in America died by suicide every 13.3 minutes, according to the AFSP.
