Ridgefield Police Department's Statement on the Possible Hazing of Ridgefield High Students

Ridgefield's HamletHub was able to speak with Captain Jeff Kreitz of the Ridgefield Police Department about their investigation of the possible hazing of students at Ridgefield High School*.  Captain Krietz told us, "this investigation is in the beginning stages" and more information would be released if, and when, appropriate.

Here is the Ridgefield Police Department's statement:

Possible Hazing of Ridgefield High Students

On 10-17-14 the Ridgefield Police Department was made aware of possible hazing incidents that involved students from Ridgefield High School.  After being made aware of these incidents the Ridgefield Police started an investigation.  Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this time.

*Dr. Stacey Gross, principal of Ridgefield High School (RHS), released a Hazing Statement to students and families at RHS on Friday, October 17, about the school's knowledge of incidents that occurred during Spirit Week.
