Ridgefield Police Reports: DUI, drugs, suspended license & more

March 17-  During a motor vehicle stop on Branchville Road of a vehicle that had been spotted with defective lights, police discovered that the operator of the vehicle was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The operator was issued infractions for both offenses and issued a court date.

March 17- Ridgefield Police were notified that Judicial Marshall's at Danbury Superior court were in custody of a Ridgefield woman, and Ridgefield Police requested to process her on the charge of failure to appear in the 2nd degree. The woman was to appear in court that day for the charge.

March 18- A vehicle was pulled over by police on Main Street for having tinted windows. Further investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle was in possession of drug paraphernalia as well as driving with a suspended license. The operator was issued a misdemeanor summons, given a court date and released on the scene.

March 18- After police pulled over a vehicle on Route 7 for a defective arrow light, it was discovered that the operator of the vehicle had a warrant out for failure to appear in the 2nd degree in New Britain. The operator was taken into custody, processed and released on bail with a court date in New Britain.

March 22- During the course of a directed DUI patrol a motor vehicle was stopped on Route 7 was suspicious driving. Investigation revealed that the operator was under the influence of alcohol and the subsequently arrested. The operator was charged with a DUI and given a court date.
