Ridgefield Police Reports: Assault, DUI & More

March 23- Ridgefield Police responded to an assault that took place between Prospect and Main Street. The complainant stated that an individual walked up to him on the street and struck him on the head with his fist. The attacker was described to police as a young male, who had fled the scene after the incident. Police canvased the area and found an individual that matched the description. The victim confirmed the attacker. The young male, a Ridgefield resident, was placed under arrest for assault in the 3rd degree. He was charged, posted bail and given a court date.

March 25- During a stationary radar run on Danbury Road, Ridgefield Police witnessed a vehicle speeding at 67 mph in a 40 mph area. The vehicle was pulled over and investigation of the operator revealed that she was driving with a suspended license. The operator was issued a misdemeanor summons for speeding and failure to have an updated license, as well as given a court date.

March 28- A traffic stop on Route 35 led to the arrest of a Bethel resident who was operating their vehicle while under the influence. The operator was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. The operator was released after posting bail and was given a court date.
