Fire at Casagmo sends two people to Danbury Hospital

The fire at Cook Close in Casagmo has been put out. One person transported to Danbury Hospital was a senior citizen who was resuscitated and has since been admitted to the hospital. Her son was burned trying to help her but will reportedly be OK. Other Casagmo residents were evacuated from their homes and will be allowed to re-enter them later tonight.  First Selectman Rudy Marconi said that the Ridgefield Fire Department did a great job containing the fire.


We just spoke with Ridgefield Fire Department who was called to the scene of a fire that broke out at 18 Cook Close in Casagmo at about 7pm this evening. Two people were injured in the fire and transported to Danbury Hospital.

EMS from Danbury, Georgetown, and Wilton were called to the scene to help Ridgefield Fire Department.
