Ridgefield Police Report: DUI, Larceny, and Narcotics

May 22: While conducting enforcement on Danbury Rd (Rt. 7) The Ridgefield Police Department made a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. Upon investigation the operator was found to be in possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. The operator was issued an infraction for the offenses.

May 24: During the course of a motor vehicle stop for erratic operation, it was determined the operator was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

May 25: Ridgefield Police were called to 125 Danbury Rd (Stop and Shop) by the asset protection detective for an individual who may have taken items without payment. Investigation revealed that a woman had walked out of the store without paying for items adding up to less than 500 dollars. She was issued a misdemeanor for 53a-125b, Larceny in the 6th degree. she was released on scene and is to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 9th
