Police say report of alleged abduction in Ridgefield is unfounded

This afternoon there was some buzz on Twitter about a possible abduction in the vicinity of Lounsbury Road in Ridgefield.

Ridgefield Police Captain Jeff Kreitz confirms that Ridgefield Police did receive a report of an alleged abduction but after an investigation have called it "unfounded".

"We responded and conducted a thorough investigation," explains Kreitz.
