The Ridgefield Police Department would like to remind residents of our child car seat installation and inspection program.
The Ridgefield Police Department has three officers who are nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. These officers are certified to install/inspect child passenger restraint systems. Due to the fact that seventy-three percent of car seats are used or installed incorrectly, parents and caregivers are urged to contact the Ridgefield Police Department at 203-438-6531 to set up an appointment. This service is by appointment only with a preference to Ridgefield residents.
There is no cost for this service.
