Detectives Make Arrest in Weston Home Invasion

On June 5, 2015 State Police Detectives from Western District Major Crime (WDMC) received a request from the Weston Police Department to assist with a home invasion investigation.

On June 5, 2015 Weston PD received a report that an unknown male rang the doorbell of a residence on Ten O’clock Lane.  The female victim did not answer the door, however a short time later she heard glass and wood breaking from the back door of the residence.

The victim reported that the same male entered her residence and confronted her.  The male forced the victim to the ground and restrained her.  The victim reported that the male took several pieces of jewelry before leaving the residence.  The victim did receive non-life threatening injuries.

During the course of the investigation WDMC and Weston PD Detectives collected several pieces of evidence and spoke with the victim, witnesses, and suspect.

At the conclusion of an extensive investigation detectives applied for, and were granted, an arrest warrant for Dylan Garner from the Superior Court.  Detectives also applied for and were granted multiple Search and Seizure warrants.

On July 28, 2015 WDMC Detectives took Dylan Garner into custody and transported him to Troop G-Bridgeport where he was processed.  Garner was held on bond pending his court date.
