Ridgefield Police Reports: car hits tree and K-9 finds drugs

November 20

Ridgefield Police stopped a vehicle on George Washington Highway at approximately 9:30 pm for traveling fast. A K-9 sniff of the vehicle found drug paraphernalia. The operator, a male from Danbury, was issued an infraction for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

November 21

Ridgefield Police were dispatched to a single car MVA at 12:16 am. The operator stated that he fell asleep and lost control of the car striking a tree. During the course of the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found. The driver, a juvenile, was transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluation. The driver was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Failure to Maintain Proper Lane, Failure to Carry License, and Under 18 Operating a Motor Vehicle after 11:00 pm.
