Ridgefield Police arrest fugitive wanted for sexual assault

On June 23, 2016 the Ridgefield Police responded to the area of Ridgebury and Turner for the reports of door to door solicitors. Upon arrival they were able to make contact with the two individuals. After checking their ID's, it was discovered that one individual, 23 year old Piotr Wasienski, was wanted out of Minnesota for violation of probation. He was on probation for sexual assault 3rd (victims were 13 to 15 year olds). His probation was violated when he was found to not be in compliance with his sex offender registry. He was arrested as a fugitive from justice and held on a $100,000 cash bond. His warrant out of Minnesota was fully extraditable. The other individual was released when his record came back with no warrants.


On June 27, 2016, after receiving a 911 call for a suspicious incident, the Ridgefield Police responded to Blackman Road. A further investigation revealed that a woman was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. She failed field sobriety tests on the scene and was placed under arrest for DUI. She was processed and released under a $100.00 cash bond and given a court date for mid-July at the Danbury superior court to answer for the above said charge.
