Ridgefield Police arrest Norwalk man for possession of loaded gun & drugs

On 08/18/2016 at approximately 9:15 am an officer from the Ridgefield Police Department stopped a vehicle for speeding on Rt. 7 (Danbury Rd.) near the Danbury town line. Upon stopping the vehicle and making contact with the operator, Denzel Riddick, the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 25 grams of marijuana and a loaded .38 revolver. Mr. Riddick has previous felony convictions which disqualify him from possessing a firearm or ammunition. Mr. Riddick was arrested on the below listed charges and held on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on 08/19/2016.
