Ridgefield Police Reports: DUI, Youth Gathering & Shoplifting

October 22- Police responded to a medical assist for an intoxicated youth and discovered a small youth gathering where a juvenile did not halt the possession of alcohol by a minor. The juvenile was charged with failure to halt and possession of alcohol by a minor. 

October 25- A 32 year old male from New York was arrested on a warrant for Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 2nd and Larceny 6th. He was issued a bond of $5,000, which he did not post. He will be appearing at the Danbury Superior Court on October 26th at 10 a.m.

October 27- The Ridgefield Police responded to a reported larceny from Stop & Shop. The called observed a white male shoplift two five-pack packages of BIC lighters then flee the scene on foot. The police made contact with the individual, a 21 year old male from Ridgefield, and discovered the stolen items. He was issued a misdemeanor summons for larceny in the sixth degree and is due to appear at the Danbury Superior Court on November 10, 2016.

October 31- Police responded to a complaint that an intoxicated driver was parked in their driveway and attempted to enter the residence. Upon arrival, police found a female operator attempting to enter her vehicle to leave. Investigation showed the driver was intoxicated. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was charged with DUI, posted bond, and was released to a family member.
