Ridgefield Police Reports: Homeowner Charged in Underage Drinking Party

January 13

After receiving an anonymous tip, Ridgefield Police Officers discovered an underage drinking party at a Ridgebury Road residence. Parents of all the juveniles were called to the scene to pick up their children. The homeowner was charged with: Knowingly recklessly or with criminal negligence, failure to halt the possession of alcohol by a minor (See more about charge here). She was released on scene with a written promise to appear at Danbury Superior Court on January 27.

January 14

Danbury Police Department requested assistance from the Ridgefield Police to be on the lookout for a vehicle suspected of evading a multi-car accident. Upon making contact with the vehicle matching the description given, it was determined that the operator was operating a MV under the influence of alcohol. The Operator, a 44-year-old male from Ridgefield, was arrested and processed for DUI. The Operator is to appear in Danbury Superior Court on January 312, 2017.

January 14

The Ridgefield Police conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing a vehicle driving erratically. The operator, a 34-year-old female from Ridgefield, was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest. She was released on a $100.00 cash bond with a court date of January 26.
