Ridgefield Police Reports: Drugs, DUI & MVA,

January 21 - Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop for failure to drive right, the operator of the vehicle, a 21 year old female from South Salem, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. She was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was processed at the HQ and released on a $50.00 cash bond and has to appear at the Danbury Superior Court on February 2, 2017 to answer for the charges.

January 22 - At approximately 10:43, Ridgefield Police investigated a motor vehicle crash called in by a witness. The operator, a 40 year old man from Ridgefield, struck a stone wall with his vehicle on North Street and continued driving. Investigation revealed that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol. No injuries were sustained in the accident. The operator was taken into custody and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in proper lane, evading responsibility with a motor vehicle, and operating without a license. The operator was assigned a court  date of February 9, 2017 at 10:00a.m. at Danbury Superior Court.

January 24 - At 8:30p.m., a 25 year old male from Danbury came to Police Headquarters to turn himself in after a warrant for his arrest was issued for Failure to Appear 2nd. The original charges stem from a motor vehicle incident involving evading. He was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on 8 February 2017, and was released after posting a surety bond for $500.00.

 - At 7:25p.m., The Ridgefield Police Headquarters received a 911 call of an erratic operator traveling north on Ethan Allen Highway. Police observed the vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane. Police stopped and investigated the operator. Police conducted field sobriety tests. They arrested the 47 year old male from Danbury for DUI and Failure to Drive Right. He was processed and released on a $100.00 cash bond and given a court date of February 8, 2017.
