Ridgefield Police Accepting Applicants for Citizen Police Academy

Interested in being part of the Citizen Police Academy? Applications are now being accepted and classes will begin March 28. 

Connecting the community and the police, the Citizen Police Academy will educate participants about various aspects of police work.

Participants will gain insight into how their police department works and provides services to the community.

Crime Scene Investigation, Firearms, TASER, Speed Enforcement, D.U.I. Enforcement, Search and Seizure and Department History - this is just some of the content that will be taught at the Ridgefield Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy.

The Academy will begin March 28, 2017 and meet every Tuesday from 6 pm to 9 pm for 8 weeks. Classes will be held at police headquarters located at 76 East Ridge Rd.

Applicants must be a minimum of eighteen years old at the time of application and should live or work in Ridgefield.
