Ridgefield Police Reports: Stolen Vehicle & Drug Bust

April 14 - Ridgefield Detectives observed a hand to hand narcotics transaction at the Casagmo apartments parking lot. Both the 22 year old male from Ridgefield and the 32 year old male from New Milford were stopped. The Ridgefield male was attempting to hide drugs from the detectives interfering with their investigation. The New Milford male was found to have in his possession several Hydrocodone pills and several packets of heroin and marijuana. Both males were arrested and transported to Ridgefield Police Headquarters for processing. The Ridgefield male was released on a $500.00 bond and is to appear in Danbury Superior Court on May 12, 2017. The New Milford male was released on a WPTA and is to appear in Danbury Superior Court on April 27, 2017. He was turned over to the Bethel Police for an outstanding arrest warrant for Larceny 5th degree.

April 19 - Based on an investigation, a 48 year old male from Ridgefield was arrested for Larceny 1st degree of a stolen motor vehicle. Police were called to the scene as a result of enterprise locating one of its stolen motor vehicles. He was released on a $10,000 surety bond with a court date of May 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Danbury Superior Court to answer for the above charge.
