Ridgefield Police Reports: MVA with injuries & DUI

Ridgefield Police responded to a two car motor vehicle accident on Ridgebury Road at the intersection of Keeler Drive. Airbags were deployed in vehicle #1 and the vehicle sustained heavy front end damage. The operator of vehicle #1 (74 y/o woman from Ridgefield) was transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluation. The operator and passengers of vehicle #2 refused medical attention on scene. Both vehicles were towed due to damage. 

May 5 

While traveling on Maple Shade Road, the Ridgefield Police Department observed a White Suburban Forester being operated erratically. The vehicle was stopped for failure to drive in the proper lane. After an investigation, it was determined the operator, a 52 year old Ridgefield woman was operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. She was charged with failure to drive in proper lane and operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs. She was processed and released on a $100 cash bond to appear in Danbury Superior Court on 5/18/17
