Police monitor suspicious activity at Ridgefield bus stop

A Ridgefield resident posted on a local Facebook page that her 9th grade daughter was walking home from the bus stop on Walnut Grove Road when a vehicle with two men asked her if she wanted a ride. After her daughter declined, she was asked again if she was sure. The resident reports that the vehicle drove slowly along side her before it drove away.

When we asked the Ridgefield Police if they were looking into the incident, Captain Kreitz said, "We saw the post [on Facebook] and contacted her [the resident] over the weekend. We have officers in the area checking for any suspicious activity during bus drop off times".
