Ridgefield Police stopped a vehicle for speeding north on Ethan Allen Highway. The 35 year old man from Ridgefield was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol and failed standardized field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest for 14-227a, operating MV under the influence and given a court date of 6/06/2017 at Danbury Superior Court.

On 5-27-17, the Ridgefield Police Department was contacted by the loss prevention officer at Kohl's. The officer observed a 32 year old South Salem resident shoplifting $133 worth of merchandise. The investigating officers made contact with her and had the items returned. She was issued a Misdemeanor Summons for Larceny. She was given a court of 6-13-17 at Danbury Superior Court. She was released on a written promise to appear.
