Ridgefield Real Estate Agent Arrested for Larceny

On June 15 at 11:00 AM, Ridgefield resident Barbara Morris, age 66, came to the Wilton police headquarters to turn herself in for an active arrest warrant for violations of Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny, police say.

According to Wilton police, between February 6 and February 8, Morris removed private property from a residence she was overseeing as a realtor and then attempted to sell the items at an auction house in Stamford, CT.

Police report that the total estimated retail value of the stolen property was $405,000. All stolen items have been recovered and returned to the original owner/victim.

Morris posted a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before the Norwalk Superior Court on June 26.
