Ridgefield Police Announce Passing Of Two Former Officers

The Ridgefield Police Department regrets to announce the passing of two of its former Officers.

Captain Robert Brunelle (ret.) passed away on 10-06-2017. Captain Brunelle served with the Ridgefield Police Department from 1967 to 1991. Captain Brunelle held many positions in his career to include Detective Division Commander. He was the department's head firearms instructor and also served as a member of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force. Captain Brunelle was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

Officer Thomas Dyer Jr. (ret.) passed away on 10-15-2017. Officer Dyer served with the Ridgefield Police Department from 1964-1997. Prior to joining the Ridgefield Police Department, Officer Dyer was a Special Police Officer in the City of Danbury. Officer Dyer served in the Patrol Division and was the Manager of Records for the department.
