The Scarsdale Arts Council Spring Kick off Event Tonight!

Scarsdale Village - May 11th 2017, The Scarsdale Arts Council (“SAC”) seeks to make more visible the arts within Scarsdale, in particular within the Village Center and Village Green (Chase Park). SAC is proud to announce its first event scheduled for Friday May 19th from 5PM-7PM.

This event was made possible In collaboration with the Village of Scarsdale, The Acceleration Project (TAP), Conservation Advisory Council, Friends of Scarsdale Parks, Scarsdale Forum’s Sub-Committee on Downtown Revitalization, The Center @862, local merchants, and local landlords,

Food Truck: Walters Food Truck

Music Program: DJ Harold Sherr aka “ROLD” & Singer Songwriter Lena Proctor (both SHS students)

SAC hopes that its upcoming events, installations, and programs garner interest, conversation, and participation from a wide-swath of village residents. SAC hopes this and future events will inspire Scarsdale’s creative community to participate and celebrate its arts and artists.

The Scarsdale Arts Council is  a  charitable organization classified for federal income tax purposes as a publicly supported charity.  Its Board is comprised principally of appointments by 14 member organizations within Scarsdale which are arts organizations or operate more broadly but have interests in the arts.   Four SAC Board members are at large public representatives appointed by Scarsdale’s Mayor with Village Board approval.  Currently these public representatives are Scarsdale residents Edward A. Morgan, Simone Kestelman, Beth Lambert, and ML Perlman.
