I have 2 important things to share with you this month. The first is a reminder that the Somers Library Foundation is holding its 3rd annual 5K race and 1 mile family walk on Sunday September 14th at 9 am in Reis Park. Hurry and register on the Foundation's website () before rates go up. You can also pick up a registration form in the library or register on site the morning of the event. Come out to support your library and get fresh air at the same time!
The second item is that September is National Library Card Sign-up month. To help your child succeed, your library card is the most important school supply. If you don't already have a library card, it's easy to fill out the form on the library's website and then bring proof of address to the library. Bring a friend while you're at it. Your library card is the best deal in town!
