The Norwalk Fire Department and Public Safety Cadets will host the 2nd annual 'Pancake Breakfast with Santa' at Fire Headquarters at 121 Connecticut Ave. The event will take place on Saturday, December 9 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and doors will open at 8:15. The event is free, but we are asking for donations of new and unwrapped toys/gifts for our annual Toy Drive.
Toys/gifts will be collected for the Human Services Council- Children's bank which helps children in our area who have been abused, neglected and/or are at-risk, many of whom live in foster care or group homes and are struggling with frightening and unclear futures. For many, this will be their only gift this holiday season. Human Services Council staff will also be on-site if attendees wish to make a financial donation or give a gift card instead of a toy.
The Norwalk Public safety cadets is a youth program sponsored by the Norwalk Police and Fire departments for students between the ages of 14-20 who receive leadership and skills training. For questions about the toy drive or pancake breakfast, please contact Michele DeLuca at 203-854-0238.
