Fairfield, Norwalk, Westport, and Weston are launching a Healthy Restaurant Program
to Help You Eat Well and Live Better
The Norwalk Health Department, Fairfield Health Department, Westport-Weston Health District, and other partner organizations in the Healthy for Life Project have teamed up to launch the Eat Well Healthy Restaurant Program, helping restaurants highlight healthier menu options and enabling consumers to make smarter choices when dining out.
Join us for the Eat Well Program launch party on Sunday, May 21, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Westport Weston Family YMCA (14 Allen Raymond Lane, Westport, CT). Come, taste delicious, healthy options from participating local restaurants and receive a free raffle ticket for the chance to win restaurant gift cards and other prizes. Also, the Westport Weston Family YMCA is offering a free day pass for attendees to use the Y on the day of the event.
We know our towns—Fairfield, Norwalk, Westport, and Weston—are full of fantastic places to dine out. Whether it’s a special occasion or a quick meal on the go, healthy options are on the menu. Through the Eat Well Healthy Restaurant Program, restaurants, markets, and other stores can prove just how convenient and delicious eating healthy can be. Look for the Healthy for Life Project’s Eat Well logo at participating restaurants to learn which menu options meet our nutrition criteria. For a full list of the participating restaurants and the healthy options they have to offer (or for more information on the Eat Well program), please visit www.healthyforlifeproject.org.
The Eat Well Healthy Restaurant Program is funded through the generous support of Pepperidge Farm and the CT State Department of Public Health, as well as Fairfield Health Department, Norwalk Health Department, and the Westport-Weston Health District.
