Music on the Hill welcomes singers for the 15th annual Summer Chorus. (Students welcome!) This year's selection: the Schubert Mass in E-Flat led by artistic director Ellen Dickinson. This is one of Schubert's last major works, rarely performed but filled with the lyrical beauty for which he was admired.
Summer Chorus rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m.,starting June 27. (No rehearsal July 4.) Concert: Thursday, July 27, 8 p.m. Rehearsals and concert take place at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in the WEPCO church complex in Wilton on Rte. #106 (36 New Canaan Road).
Who can join Summer Chorus? Everyone is welcome! The Summer Chorus includes those who are already in a choir (high school, church, or community ensemble) and singers who are looking for a new place to sing or who haven't sung in a while.
Summer Chorus is one of Music on the Hill's four performing ensembles. Learn more, and join the mailing list, by visiting musiconthehillCT.org.
