Local Church Holds School Supply Drive

Help the Sacred Heart Church Covenant to Care volunteers make the first day of school a special event for our Covenant to Care kids. The volunteers will be assembling backpacks for children, ages Kindergarten through high school once again. The donated school supplies can help stretch the budget of families who are struggling to just buy food.

The requested school supplies include: Backpacks, Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils, Rulers, Highlighters, Glue Sticks, Pencils, Pens, Calculators, Dictionaries, 1-Subject Notebooks, 3 & 5-subject Notebooks, Looseleaf paper (wide & college-ruled), Binders (1”, 1.5”, larger), Assignment Pads, Dividers, Folders, Erasers, Soft Pencil Cases, Construction Paper.

Please leave all supplies in the Covenant to Care box at Sacred Heart Church (Southbury CT), by August 14th.

Covenant to Care is a commitment between Sacred Heart Church and our area social workers to provide more resources to assist abused, neglected, and impoverished children. Some of our programs include emergency baby needs, a Christmas Gift giving tree, Easter Baskets, special occasion gifts and the school backpacks and supplies drive.
