United Way and Praxair Partner to Celebrate Volunteer Service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The Volunteer Center of United Way of Western Connecticut is proud to announce that it has once again partnered with Praxair, Inc. to orchestrate an in-house volunteer activity to acknowledge and celebrate the meaning of service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 16, 2017.

The project involved numerous Praxair employees assembling more than eighty literacy kits to benefit first grade students at Ellsworth Avenue School in Danbury, thereby giving back to the local community and benefiting the lives of children in need. Ellsworth Avenue School is a neighborhood elementary school in Danbury that serves a number of low-income and minority students.
