Motorcycle Run to Benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut

It's that time of year again when motorcyclists throughout the tri-state area gather for a day of riding to benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut. This Saturday, June 17, the seventh annual Wishes On Wheels motorcycle run will again be sponsored by Lone Oak Campsites.  It is a fun day of riding approximately 100 miles on a route that may go through Massachustts, New York state, Connecticut and maybe even Vermont, so be sure to bring a helmet.

The event is now open to classic cars and trucks as well as motorcycles, so polish up that classic and head for Lone Oak this weekend.  Registration for the event begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, with the ride beginning at noon.

A picnic will be held at Lone Oak Campsites following the run, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Great food, music and a raffle will be enjoyed and everyone is invited, whether or not you participated in the ride, including family members and friends of riders.

Donation is $25 per bike, classic car or truck and $15 per passenger. The picnic is free for drivers and passengers; $10 for adults who do not ride and $5 for children.

"We had a great turnout and a lot of fun last year," says organizer Peter Brown. "We are hoping for beautiful weather and are looking forward to an exciting ride and fun picnic afterwards."
