Do you have what it takes? Connecticut's Got Talent Auditions are this month!

Connecticut's Got Talent is a competition open to those ages 5 and up with a desire to showcase their talents on stage. The event will take place Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Newtown High School, 12 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook. We are looking for performers from all genres including dancers, singers, musical acts and anything else that is interesting and/or exciting. There will be celebrity judges and fabulous prizes. For those of you who would rather show us your talents in person, we are holding onsite auditions at Newtown High School on Wednesday, July 23, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will help fund the 12.14 Foundation's two summer musicals: "A Rockin' Midsummer Night's Dream" and "101 Dalmatians." Following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary Schoo1, the 12.14 Foundation was formed to build confidence, inner-strength, inspiration and the tools children need to lead successful, productive lives. We encourage personal development through high-level performing arts programs. Their experiences produce a long-lasting, positive affect on the way they see themselves and the world around them.
